  • Perform structural analysis, calculations, and code-compliant design.
  • Design and review primary framing, secondary framing, cold-formed steel, connections, and related building systems.
  • Coordinate engineering requirements with estimating, detailing, purchasing, and manufacturing.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues before they create downstream detailing or production problems.
  • Review engineering work for accuracy, constructability, and applicable code requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication across departments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support improvements to engineering standards, processes, and project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship as the engineering department continues to grow.

Required Experience

  • Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong structural engineering background.
  • Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) or closely related metal building systems.
  • Experience with MBS or the ability to become proficient quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel design and applicable building codes.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with detailing, manufacturing, and other project functions.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and project communication skills.
